Evaluation of Systemic Fungicides for Use in the Arkansas Drill Seeded Rice Production Systems
F. N. Lee

Field and greenhouse blast fungicide tests are being conducted to facilitate evaluation of new systemic fungicide control technology made available to the University by E.I. du Pont de Nemours and Company.

Research to date indicate preplant or seed treatment applications of systemic fungicides will control rice blast through critical early season growth stages of rice planted and growing under typical Arkansas drill seeded rice production systems.

Current research emphasis is treatment application to extend efficacy through critical growth stages when the plant is most damaged by the rice blast fungus.
