Specialization:  Rice weed physiology and biology
 
Interests include: a) distribution, biology, and control of weedy red rice (Oryza sativa) ecotypes and their gene flow interactions with rice (Oryza sativa), and exploiting red rice as a source of genes for rice; and b) alternate weed control systems that combine weed-suppressive or allelopathic cultivars with reduced rates of herbicide to improve sustainability and economics of weed control in rice.
